Join Our Volunteers
Support by Volunteering
It is not a requirement for our volunteers to have experience with horses or working with people dealing with challenges related to a mental health diagnosis. All of our volunteers, no matter their experience, attend an orientation/training to familiarize themselves with our safety and operational procedures.
Below is a list of ways to volunteer:
Help with office tasks including making copies, organizing and maintaining files and records and creating materials used within and outside the organization.
Types of opportunities to help include being a fundraising committee member, completing projects and tasks related to prepping for events and/or helping at the event to make it a success.
Tasks include assisting the program facilitators in the creation of materials used for program sessions and help keep track of and make available needed supplies and resources. Note: Helping with the facilitation of the session is not a part of volunteering in this capacity. If you are interested in assisting with the facilitation of sessions please let the Executive Director know as opportunities may be available.
Help needed with the grooming and care of the horse herd and facility.Tasks include exercising, walking, grooming, facility maintenance projects.
